Here are some tips on working with Excel Sparklines.
If you want to… | then do this… |
Change the size of Sparkline | Change row height or column width |
Fill adjacent cells with Sparkline | Drag handle in lower-right corner of Sparkline. The data of the additional cells must be in the correct orientation. |
Copy and paste fixed Sparkline | Select Copy as Picture from ribbon |
Copy and paste linked Sparkline | Select Copy from ribbon. Select Paste Linked Picture from ribbon. |
Save Sparklines to Excel prior to 2010 | Sparklines will not save to earlier versions. They are not compatible. |
Show maximum Y-axis variation | On the ribbon, in Sparkline Tools Design tab, in the Axis group, select Vertical Axis Minimum and Maximum as Automatic for each Sparkline. |
Show Y-axis variation of min/max for all Sparkline’s (this may reduce visible variation for individual Sparklines if one Sparkline has a much greater variation than the average.) | On the ribbon, in Sparkline Tools Design tab, in the Axis group, select Vertical Axis Minimum and Maximum as Same for All Sparklines. |
